Principal, Dr. Allen M. Wilson
My name is Dr. Allen Wilson, and I am truly honored to continue serving as the proud principal of Edwards Elementary School for our second year together!
Over this past year, it has been remarkable to witness our school community come together to build a strong foundation for success. We made significant strides in creating a welcoming environment, setting high expectations, and fostering a culture where every student is supported academically and socially.
As we enter Year 2, our focus is clear: Rise Higher, Reach Farther. We are committed to providing high-quality academic and social experiences for all students so they can thrive and achieve their fullest potential.
Prior to opening Edwards Elementary, I was principal of Bailey Elementary School for two years and have more than a decade of experience in education. Before becoming an administrator, I began my career teaching science at Southern Nash Middle School and coaching boys’ golf at Southern Nash High School. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from North Carolina Wesleyan University and both a Master’s in Executive Leadership and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University.
I am excited to continue partnering with our amazing families, dedicated staff, and wonderful community. Please feel free to reach out to me at amwilson@ncpschools.net if you have any questions or ideas to share.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. Together, we will rise higher and reach farther to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed!
